Mikayla’s passion for women's health stems from the desire to educate and empower patients to become advocates for their own well-being. She strives to build compassionate relationships with each of her patients as she walks with them through various seasons of life, from pregnancy and birth, through menopause and beyond. Her goal is to provide holistic care as she believes that healthcare encompasses so much more than just caring for our physical bodies.
As a nurse-midwife, Mikayla has several years of experience working in both rural and high acuity hospital settings. Throughout her career, she has championed practice changes to improve quality of care for patients. She's exceptionally gifted at developing meaningful connections with her patients in all phases of life.
About her philosophy of care, Mikayla says:
“My driving force is continuing to grow and expand my knowledge and midwifery scope of practice, while serving my patients to the highest level of my abilities. I am passionate about working as a team that actively includes the patient, to help each person accomplish their unique health goals. The needs of the patients should always come first.”
