Katie Szymanski, DNP,
Family Nurse Practitioner
Katie brings a huge range of experience to our Family Medicine clinic. For more than 8 years, she has worked with patients across the lifespan from pediatric to geriatric – collaborating with a team of physicians, nurses, and specialists to deliver the best possible care to her patients.
Katie's Experience
Katie has proven expertise in conducting thorough assessments, diagnosing, and creating treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs. She is skilled in managing chronic conditions, health promotion, and preventative care, as well as providing acute care interventions. She has a special passion for caring for children, babies, and new mothers. She especially enjoys supporting families through early infancy and providing education that helps parents feel confident and informed. She is currently working on lactation certifications so she can add even more support to new moms. In addition to her family-focused care, Katie also has experience performing in-office procedures, bringing a well-rounded skill set to support her patients’ needs.
Prior to earning her Doctor of Nursing Practice, Katie worked as an emergency room nurse in a fast-paced environment. Through this experience, she developed a strong foundation in critical care, patient triage, and high-pressure decision-making.
About her approach to care, she says:
"I am committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based care for women and families. My approach focuses on truly listening, creating a welcoming and safe space, and collaborating with each patient to develop care plans that feel realistic, supportive, and empowering."
In Her Spare Time ...
In her spare time, she enjoys staying active, cozy nights in with her family, trying new recipes, and finding small pockets of quiet in the chaos of raising little kids.
