Leah-Schroeder-Web2.jpgMN Women's Care Provider Profile
Leah Schroeder,
Certified Nurse Midwife

Like many of our nurse-midwives, Leah earned her advanced degree in nurse-midwifery after years of working in busy hospitals as a labor and delivery nurse, charge nurse, and floor nurse. Once she became a midwife, Leah gained a ton of experience in both clinic and hospital settings. She has provided care to women throughout the lifespan including well-woman care, pregnancy, labor and delivery, and postpartum care. She is trained in both VBAC management and water-births. She has a special interest in working with teens to help them establish their own approach to a lifetime of good health.

About her philosophy of care, Leah says:

"I believe women should be a guiding voice in their heath care and should feel empowered by their health care provider!  As a partner in your care, I will make sure you have the knowledge you need so you can make informed health care decisions for yourself. It is important to me that you receive evidence-based, individualized, non-judgmental, and inclusive care while feeling heard and supported. "
